Al-Hayy - الْحَيُّ

The One who does not come into existence and yet exists, and the One who possesses a hayah and not comparable to the hayah of creatures consisting of a combination of soul, flesh and blood. Imam At-Tahawiyy said that "Whoever attributes to Allah an attribute in a sense that counts among those that can be attributed to human beings is a disbeliever".
