Quran
How many Quran reciters are available?
Azkar includes recitations from multiple world-renowned sheikhs, each with distinct Tajweed styles. You can switch reciters from the Quran player. See the audio recitation feature page.
Does the app show real-time verse highlighting?
Yes. As the reciter reads each verse, the corresponding Ayah is highlighted on your screen in real time, in both Mushaf and List views. The app also supports word-by-word highlighting during recitation, making it ideal for learning Tajweed and for memorization (Hifz).
Can I share or copy Quran verses?
Yes. You can copy, share, or highlight any Quran verse directly from the app. Share a verse with its translation or Tafsir with friends and family. Long press on a verse to start continuous recitation across Surahs. Your Quran reading progress is also tracked automatically from both list and Mushaf views.
Prayer Times
How accurate are the prayer times?
Prayer times are calculated based on your GPS location using established calculation methods (Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian General Authority, Umm Al-Qura in Makkah, and others). You can choose the method that matches your local mosque's convention in Settings.
Can I generate a printable prayer timetable?
Yes. Azkar can generate a PDF prayer timetable for up to 37 consecutive days from any chosen start date. Ideal for mosques and community centers. See the prayer timetable PDF page.
Does the Qibla compass work anywhere in the world?
Yes. The Qibla compass uses your device's magnetometer and GPS to point towards the Kaaba in Makkah from any location. Azkar also integrates with Google Maps for a visual view of the direction.
Azkar
Which Azkar categories are included?
Azkar includes six categories: Azkar Al-Sabah (Morning), Azkar Al-Masa' (Evening), Azkar As-Salah (After-Prayer), Azkar An-Nawm (Before-Sleep), Azkar Al-Jumu'ah (Friday), and Azkar Qiyam Al-Layl (Night Prayer). Each includes correct Arabic text, transliteration, translation, and the recommended repetition count. New categories are added regularly.
Can I listen to all Azkar in a category automatically?
Yes. The Play All feature lets you listen to an entire Azkar category automatically, one after the other. Just open any category and tap the play button to start. You can also bookmark your favorite Azkar, sort them, and copy any text with a single tap.
Can I get reminders for my daily Azkar?
Yes. Azkar supports customizable notification reminders for your daily Azkar. You can set specific times and choose which categories to be reminded about. These reminders are also connected with the Ebada Tracker so your progress is recorded automatically.
Ebada Tracker
What is the Ebada Tracker?
The Ebada Tracker is a daily worship checklist that helps you track your five daily prayers, fasting, Sadaqah (charity), Dhikr, Salawat, and more. Sleep Azkar and Quran reading progress are tracked automatically. The tracker refreshes each day with your current status, making it easy to see your daily worship habits at a glance.
Does the Ebada Tracker track my progress automatically?
Partially, yes. Sleep Azkar and Quran reading progress are tracked automatically based on your activity in the app. For prayers, fasting, and Sadaqah, you check them off manually in the daily checklist. You can also set custom notification reminders to stay on track.
Tasbih Counter
What does the Tasbih Counter include?
The Tasbih Counter includes 10 predefined Dhikr with the Arabic text, transliteration, and meaning translated into all supported languages — making it accessible for non-Arabic speakers. There is also a freestyle counter for any Dhikr you want to recite. The counter tracks milestones with celebration animations and resets daily while preserving your progress.
99 Names of Allah
How do I learn the 99 Names of Allah with the app?
Open the 99 Names section and swipe through interactive cards. Each card shows the name in Arabic calligraphy with a mosque background, the transliteration, meaning, definition, and the Quranic verse where the name appears. Tap the audio button to hear the correct pronunciation. A built-in scoring system tracks your progress and you can bookmark names to review. You can also browse all 99 Names on the website.
Languages
What languages does the app support?
The app interface is available in 8 languages: Arabic, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Turkish. Quran translations are available in these languages plus Albanian, Amharic, and others. You can set the interface language independently from the Quran translation language.
Privacy & Offline Use
Does the app collect my personal data?
Azkar uses your GPS location only to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does Azkar work offline?
Yes. Azkar has a full offline mode — all content is downloaded proactively so the app works completely without an internet connection. The full Quran text, Azkar supplications, 99 Names of Allah, learning content, and prayer-time calculations are all available offline. Quran audio recitations require an internet connection the first time they are played, after which they are cached.
Can I share content from the app?
Yes. You can share any content from anywhere in the app — Quran verses with translation or Tafsir, Azkar, learning cards, and more. Just tap the share button on any item to send it to friends and family via your preferred messaging app or social media.
Is there a light/dark mode? Can I adjust text size?
Yes to both. Azkar offers light and dark themes (manual or system-based) and a zoom slider with four sizes (S, M, L, XL) that applies across all screens including the Mushaf view, Azkar, and the 99 Names.
